Netflix is a great hub for watching any kind of movie, from romance to action. In addition, there are quite a few horror movies thatll make you laugh as opposed to screaming:

1. The Cabin in the Woods ( 2011 )

Cabin in the Woods is a horror film, released on April 13, 2012. This movie was written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard and directed by Goddard. The Cabin in the Woods genre is comedy horror. It tells the story of five college students who spend their vacation at an isolated cabin somewhere near but end up fighting for their lives when confronted with horrific human monsters.

The Cabin in the Woods features many trope subversions which contribute to its comedic tone. For instance, various foreshadowing scenes indicate that things are not what they seem. There are also several uncharacteristic events early on that show how incompetent or ill-equipped characters are. Later on, a character who did not die in the original trope-based horror movie from which Cabin in the Woods was inspired.

The final girl receives a distress call from a woman who survived a movie massacre and then offered to help the final girl defeat the killer. Together, they find the head of a failed horror writer whose dark secrets put them in danger. The Final Girl genre is comedy horror and thrillers. It tells the story of five college students spending their vacation at an isolated cabin where they encounter horrific human monsters who want to kill them.

The film contains trope subversions throughout its entire runtime. At one point, it becomes clear that two killers are working together against the protagonists when this would not be typical for a trope-based horror movie. In addition, theres no clear distinction between the friend group of victims and the protagonists. They do not fight over which one is most worthy of survival or even engage in that type of behavior at all.
